Hero ZIR Motorcycle Overview
The scooter segment in the automobile market in India is going strong every year. Keeping this in mind, Hero MotoCorp knows it well where to focus profitably. The leading two-wheeler manufacturing company showcased its attractive range of scooters at the Auto Expo, including Hero ZIR. The Hero ZIR launch date in India is expected to be announced soon enough. During its unveiling at the Auto Expo, the all-new bike was showcased in two impressive variants, including the European look and the other one with a flat footboard.
Mileage & Features
With the engine displacement value of 157.1 cc, the Hero ZIR scooty is expected to be returning a mileage value of around 40 kmpl. The overall design of the scooter has been aimed at enticing the youngsters looking out for a high-end top-performance scooter. In terms of its overall features, the new-generation scooty receives a futuristic look across its two variants.
The European-styled Hero scooter receives a smart-looking appearance with swept-back screen through its impressive visual details. The other variant of the Hero ZIR sports a more uptight screen that has been mounted on the handlebar, offering a more conventional look, rather than a sporty one. The all-new scooter receives its power from a single-cylinder 157 cc engine. The engine is capable of generating 13.9 BHP of power at 8500 rpm. The 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine unit also generates a peak torque value of 12.7 Nm at 7000 rpm.

Offering a top speed of 110 kmph, the Hero ZIR scooter is impressively high-performing. In terms of its handling features, the scooter sports a spacious footboard area along with convenient handlebars to enhance the overall riding experience. The scooty also receives a 9-litre fuel tank, ensuring dynamic ability and offering an acceptable range.
Braking & Safety
The new scooty receives hydraulic disc brakes at both its front & rear ends. The braking calipers of the scooter have been painted to complement the overall body color of the machine.
Given its high value for peak torque, the new-generation Hero motorcycles will be competing against the likeness of similar scooter models like the Honda PCX 150 in the given segment.
