Bike variant reviewed for: Honda CB Shine SP

Year of Manufacture: 2015 | Driven no. of Kms. : 2500
  • Pros: 1. Vibrations exist at higher speeds but they're hardly a bother at all, they did leave a tingling sensation in my palms post drive. 2. Quite comfortable to ride if you're cruising at speeds upto 60 kmph. 3. Minimal noise as obviously, Honda makes refined engines. 4. Pillion seat is quite roomy and comfortable. 5. Gives me a mileage from worst 50 kmpl to best 57-60 kmpl, recorded through an average of four mileage tests on reserve to reserve basis.I would put a mixed or average mileage at around 55 kmpl. 6. The best speed i could pull it to was 105 kmph.
  • Cons: 1. No engine killswitch. 2. Switchgears could have been a bit more premium. 3. Bike has a bit of coldstart issues. 4. Above speeds of 80 kmph, the bike is so light, it starts swaying which is a stability issue, although this bike was not designed for high speed travel in the first place. 5. Brakes have a slightly lesser bite. 6. Thin tyres, although required for mileage may cause the bike to tip over in cracks or lines in the cement roads.

Full Review:

I liked the bike's looks for a commuter motorcycle. I have driven it for around 2500 kms now. It has not given me any major issues and i am satisfied with my purchase. Its been 4 months since i purchased the bike. If you do purchase it for its original purpose i.e. City commuting and NOT speeding and racing, then you have definitely made the right choice.
