Which bike should I buy between Suzuki Gixxer and Honda Hornet 160R?
The differences between both bikes are:
Honda Hornet is powered by 162.71cc air cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine, which produces maximum power of 11.68 KW @ 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 14.76 Nm @ 6500 rpm mated to 5 speed transmission gears while Suzuki Gixxer powered by 154.9cc engine, discharges maximum power of 10.9 KW @8000 rpm and maximum torque of 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm, mated to 5 speed transmission gears.
Gixxer is featured with gear shift indicator engine kill switch while Hornet doesn’t have these features. Both bikes are featured with drum brake on front wheel and disc brake on rear wheel but Hornet is also featured with optional rear disc brake along with combi-brake-system so it has better braking features than Gixxer.
Hornet is featured with Honda eco technology (HET) for better fuel efficiency, the mileage of this bike is 52Kmpl. While Suzuki Gixxer is featured with Suzuki eco performance and it returns a mileage of around 45 kmpl.
So the final verdict is that both the bikes have appealing look, refined engines, nice performance and good riding dynamics but Honda Hornet seems to be a better option here as it has better power, torque and mileage figures and offers better braking features. We advise you to take a test drive of both and choose as per your need and preference.
Questions about Honda Hornet 160R
I have purchased Honda Hornet 160R but it hasn’t been provided with proper rear tyre mud guard, so during rainy season rear tyre sprays mud from open area.S.V.Ramanarao Teacher 2016-07-14 1 Answer
