Which bike is better between Honda Livo (self-disc) and Honda Shine (self-drum) as the prices are almost same?

If your preference is mileage then Livo will be a better choice if you want more power and can compromise with little mileage than go for Shine.

Honda live is powered by 109.19cc Air cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine while Honda Shine is powered by 124.7 cc Air cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine. Maximum speed of Livo is 86 kmph, claimed fuel efficiency is 74 kmpl while maximum speed of Shine is 93 kmph and claimed fuel efficiency is 65 kmpl.

Yes, the price of Shine with drum brakes is almost equivalent to price of Livo with disc brakes, the on-road price of Livo (self-disc alloy) in Delhi as on 30.09.2015 is Rs. 60,434 while of Shine (self-drum) is Rs. 60,510, you may be confused about which type of brake to choose well as per users experience disc brakes are good for the people who ride at high speed and mostly on highways for the extra security purpose but for the people who used to ride mostly in the city with a normal speed (40-50 kmph) drum brakes are well sufficient.
