Honda Rebel 300
Honda Rebel 300 Overview
Honda is all set to launch the Rebel 300 bike in the Indian bike market. The Honda Rebel 300 falls under the cruiser bike category and appears highly stylish on the design front. The company is planning on launching the bike during the Auto Expo 2018 which is just a few days ahead. A true cruiser in style, the Honda Rebel 300 is expected to win the hearts of all bike-lovers with its pleasing design and powerful engine.
Honda Rebel 300 Engine & Transmission
The bike comes packed with a 286cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine which is the same engine as the internationally sold CBR 300R. This engine also produces similar power output but will be tuned as per Rebel's cruiser character. The 2866cc engine of the Honda Rebel 300 is able to churn out a maximum power of 27 BHP along with a peak torque of 27 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission gearbox.
Honda Rebel 300 Braking & Safety
The authentic cruiser look of the Honda Rebel 300 is complemented by the raw looking tubular-steel frame. As such, the overall width of the bike is on the narrower side by all cruiser bike standards. The bike promises a plush riding experience thanks to its mid-mounted footpegs, high raised handle-bar, and low seating position. The Honda Rebel 300 is equipped with 296mm front disc brakes and 240mm rear disc brakes and ABS is offered as an option.
Honda Rebel 300 Competitors
The Honda Rebel 300 would be rivalling against bike from UM and Royal Enfield.
Honda Rebel 300 Mileage
The bike features a kerb weight of 165 kg and an overall fuel tank capacity of 11.2 Litres, on the other hand, the company is yet to reveal information on its fuel economy numbers. In terms of looks alone, the bike is simple, raw, and very minimally designed and offers intricate detailing enhancing the overall looks of the bike. The lean, low silhouette of the bike is crowned by a good looking fuel tank. The Honda Rebel 300 features a raised fuel tank with higher handlebar, single front seat, exposed frame, and various other elements that look demanding to the urban muscle bike riders.
Honda Rebel 300 Performance and Handling
The Honda Rebel 300 features an overall slim design that allows the rider a low seating height. As such, it naturally becomes easier to manage this sturdy cruiser bike at low riding speeds. Even the riding position of the Honda Rebel 300 looks neutral and relaxed that allows slightly outstretching arms that make a comfortable riding position. Featuring simple, straightforward, and minimalistic design with lean, lower bobber silhouettes, the bike is fun to ride in all riding conditions.
