Hyosung Aquila 250 Overview

Hyosung Aquila 250 is the latest addition to the upcoming launches in the cruiser segment. It is a rich looking quarter-litre cruiser that is positioned right between the cheapest offering by Harley-Davidson and the most expensive offering by Royal Enfield. It is the younger sibling of GV650 but it takes no styling inspiration from the former. It is a complete head turner on roads with its stunning and eye-catching looks. It features the same electronic fuel injection as is sported by the larger GV650. It is endowed with a 4-stroke, 8-valve, double-overhead-cam engine that is air and oil cooled. It is very good attempt by Hyosung to offer a most affordable V-Twin motorcycle.
Hyosung Aquila 250 Engine & Transmission
Hyosung Aquila 250 is powered by 250cc, oil-cooled, V-Twin fuel injected engine that emits an understated purr. It produces 26.5PS maximum power at a good 9500rpm and just 21Nm torque at 7.500rpm.

The engine performance is adequate but you do not get enough mid range grunt and you will have to keep the motor on boil to extract the best out of it. It clearly has a sports bike soul as it does not have the torquey character that is seen on touring bikes like these. Its smooth and free revving on this bike can go up to the red line. The bike has been mated to a 5-speed gearbox and it transfers power to the rear wheel with the help of a chain drive. The gears on this Motorcycle are well spread out. It hosts a perimeter cradle frame which is equipped with 41mm telescopic front forks and coil-spring shocks at the rear. It has 16 inch wheels with 110/90 Shinko tyre and 15 inch 150/80 tyre at the front and the rear side respectively that offer good grip.

Hyosung Aquila 250 Mileage
Hyosung Aquila 250 returns a fuel efficiency of 27-30kmpl and the top speed that can be achieved by this bike is 128km/hr. It has been equipped with a 14litre fuel tank that offers a decent touring range to the riders.

Hyosung Aquila 250 Performance and Handling
Due to its large body proportions, Hyosung Aquila 250 looks larger than it actually is. But you ride it, it feels like a pretty compact bike with extremely low centre of gravity. It is also very easy to pull this bike in traffic. It is also very easy to manage with just 179Kg kerb weight. It has a wide handlebar, forward set footrests and a low seat tha makes way for a fatigue-free journey ion long drives.

Hyosung Aquila 250 has a single disc with 2 pistons callipers at the front but drums at the rear. It is indeed unfortunate that this bike does not host a rear disc brake in spite of sporting a premium price tag. Overall this bike is easy to maintain, and offers an adequate performance for people on a budget.
