Hyosung Aquila Pro Overview
Hyosung Aquila GV250 Pro made quite a splash in India when it was launched in the year 2013. It was the first twin-cylinder cruiser that looked stunning and had enormous power. It therefore comes as no surprise as DSK launches the all new Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro to cash in on the huge popularity of Aquila Pro. It manages to impress the customers despite the presence of heavyweight players Japanese and American players by virtue of its blend of laid back custom cruiser and modern power cruiser. It offers a perfect blend of great handling, impressive performance and a terrific design language and succeeds in making its mark as a comfortable sports cruiser.
Hyosung Aquila Pro Engine & Transmission
The strong exhaust of Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro stems from a 647cc, liquid-cooled , V-Twin power plant that generates 74bhp and 9000rpm along with a peak torque of 62.1Nm at 7,500rpm. This is the same engine that powers the GT650 series but has been worked on for delivering a better riding experience. Also, it feels a lot more responsive and free-revving than before. Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro makes use of a 5 speed gear box and the gear ratios of this motorbike are designed to making it less stressful to ride. It does not have to be revved hard and feels more comfortable lower down in the rev range, similar to most cruisers. It feels most at home on the Highway and the engine purrs as this motorcycle cruises lazily at 70kmph.
Hyosung Aquila Pro Mileage
Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro manages 15.5kmpl in the city and close to 22kmpl on Highways. This lends it an overall figure of 17kmpl which is on the lesser side. It has a 16litre tank that can easily manage 272km in a single run.
Hyosung Aquila Pro Performance and Handling
Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro deploys a double cradle steel frame that comes with adjustable upside-down front forks and twin hydraulic shock absorbers located at the rear, bolted on top of a box section swingarm. It offers a comfortable and relaxed riding position with forward set footpegs and wide handlebars. The well cushioned seat just adds remarkably to the riding comfort by filtering the bumps before they hit your spine. Despite its 240Kg kerb weight, the motorbike tackles corners well due to its rigid frame and grippy tyres. It uses twin 300mm discs in the front and a 270mm disc at the rear. The bike looks attractive as the fit and the finish is good in most places. The digital speed display is dipped in chrome and its displays speed, fuel level and engine temperature but looks a bit cheap as it is surrounded by plastic. Overall, Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro offers a credible cruiser alternative to budget cruisers in the market.
