Hyosung GT Overview

Hyosung is the largest Korean motorcycle manufacturer. The company has ventured with its Indian partner DSK to expand its network and cater to needs of the enthusiast buyers in India.

Currently, the company has three products namely GT 650R, GT 250R and GT 650N. Furthermore, under the joint venture of the DSK-Hyosung, the company is planning to expand its line-up soon with best in the class motorcycles. The Hyosung operation in India is mainly to provide a world class super biking experience to the bike enthusiasts. The company has entrenched superbike network in India with a CKD plant in Wai in Maharashtra.

Hyosung GT Engine & Transmission

Coming to the top-end line-up, the Hysoung GT introduced GT 650R and GT 650N. In fact,the GT series of bikes are mostly designed to ensure perfection to the riders. The power beast Hyosung GT 650R is powered by a 647cc, DOHC, 4-stroke, 8 valve, 90-degree V-twin engine which will manages to deliver a maximum power output of 72.68 bhp achieved at 9000 rpm and 60.9 Nm of a peak torque at 7500 rpm. The engine is liquid cooled and its transmission is 6 speed manual. Meanwhile, Hyosung GT 650N is a street bike which makes lot of sense on Indian roads. The power bike will be equipped with the similar engine specifications with its sibling GT650R. The engine is powered by V-twin 8 valve DOHC 647cc engine churns out a maximum power output of 72.68 bhp which arrives at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 60.9 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine is mated with six speed gearbox transmission with gear shift pattern of one gear down and five gears.

Hyosung GT250R is an entry level motorcycle and it is powered by a 249cc, 75-degree, DOHC V-twin, engine that manages to deliver a power output of 27.6 bhp which achieves at 10000 rpm. The engine is capable to produce 22 Nm of maximum torque which can be achieved at 8000 rpm. The engine uses 8-valves and air or oil-cooling has a five-speed manual gearbox which has gear shifting pattern as one gear is pushed down and the other four gears upwards.

Hyosung GT Mileage

Hyosung GT250R is capable to deliver a fuel economy of 20 to 22 Kmpl on the city roads and about 25 to 27 Kmpl on the highways. Hyosung GT 650R manages a fuel consumption of 17 to 18 kmpL in a city, while on the highways it delivers 20 to 22 kmpL.
