Hyosung Mirage 250
Hyosung Mirage 250 Overview
The South Korean bike manufacturer, Hyosung is on its way to launch Hyosung Mirage 250 in the Indian market as a part of its new portfolio. The upcoming bike is considered to be the successor of Aquila 250 cruiser, which was previously on sale in India. The company is yet to make an official announcement on the launch date of new Mirage 250, but media reports suggest that the bike could go on sale sometime during September 2018.
Hyosung Mirage 250 Styling & Comfort
There is no arguing over the fact that the new Hyosung Mirage 250 is a very attractive looking bike with the minimalist design approach. The new bike looks far more sophisticated than the bike it replaces. The bike will come with a round headlight flanked by LED position light on either side for an imposing presence and the taillight will be an LED unit. The bike will also feature a large chrome exhaust.
The bike will ride on a multi-spoke 19-inch front wheel and a 16-inch wheel at the back. The teardrop-shaped fuel tank of the bike will carry 15 L of fuel, which would provide it with a decent overall range. The 710 mm seat height would be accessible to riders of all heights.
Hyosung Mirage 250 Performance and Handling
The new Mirage 250 is expected to offer an excellent balance of ride and handling. The bike would be great to drive in low gear in the city and excellent for cruising on the highway. On the highway, overtaking is just a matter of rolling the gas on. The bike is expected to hit a top speed of 150 kmph. It will come with telescopic front forks and twin shocks at the rear. The suspension system is expected to absorb bumps, potholes and occasional speed breakers with ease.
Hyosung Mirage 250 What we think
The launch of the new Mirage 250 should help the company in keeping those customers intact while adding more to the base. As far as the price point is concerned, the new bike is estimated to be priced around Rs. 3 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyosung Mirage 250 Mileage
As per the company, the large fuel tank of Mirage 250 is expected to give a range of 400 km; so you can expect a mileage of 25-26 feature from this bike.
Hyosung Mirage 250 Engine & Transmission
The Mirage 250 will be powered by a 250-cc V-Twin engine that will offer a maximum power of 25.8 bhp at 9000 rpm along with a peak torque of 21.7 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a single-speed transmission.
Hyosung Mirage 250 Braking & Safety
Braking duty would be handled by discs at both the front and rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard, and hence the bike is expected to never run out of stopping power.
Hyosung Mirage 250 Competitors
The bike will lock horns with a host of 250 cc offerings, including the KTM Duke 250, Yamaha FZ25 Kawasaki Z250, Benelli TNT25 and Honda CBR 250R, in the Indian market.
