Kawasaki KLX450R Overview
India Kawasaki Motor (IKM) has launched the dedicated off-roading bike –KLX450R in India right in time for the festive season. The motorcycle is meant to be used for off-road riding or in competitions. The new KLX450R can be booked across all the Kawasaki dealerships in India.
Kawasaki KLX450R Styling & Comfort
Kawasaki KLX450R looks compact and aggressive. It is one of the most compact and agile bikes available in the market. The bike is not mattered by a lighter yet stiff aluminium perimeter frame. This dirt bike also features a headlight and an LED rear light.
In terms of proportions, the new KLX450R is 2,175mm long, 820mm wide and 1,250mm tall. The bike comes with a wheelbase of 1,480mm and a ground clearance of 315mm. The saddle height stands at 935mm. The bike weighs 126 kg and comes with an 8 litre fuel tank.

The Kawasaki KLX450R derives power from liquid-cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder DOHC engine, which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Now the sudden stall is not a matter of concern as the electric start will make sure you can quickly get restarted.

Braking duties are carried out by a 250mm dual-piston petal disc at front and 240mm single-piston petal disc brakes at rear. Braking performance is excellent and the bike sheds speed with confidence.

The fuel tank is lower and flatter, making it easier to sit farther forward. The bike comes with lightweight digital instrumentation which includes speedometer, twin trip meters, odometer and clock. The new KX450sports a number of new features like finger-follower valve actuation, electric start and a hydraulic clutch, all these features are new to this bike.

Kawasaki KLX450R is a fully featured bike to match various types of riding applications which makes it a proven performer. The engine of the bike not only provides superior agility but also ample power to fulfil the needs of off-road enthusiasts. The lightweight structure makes this bike simple to ride and navigate tough terrains. The bike also features hydraulic clutch which offers a direct feel and lighter lever operation.
Suspension setup of KLX450R comprises of inverted AOS type telescopic fork at the front which comes with 22-way dumping compression and 18-way rebound damping adjustability. The rear suspension is a mono-shock with 22-way low speed and 8-litre turns or more high speed along with 22-way rebound damping and 315mm adjustable spring preload. The front end gets 80/100-21M tyre while the rear gets a 120/90-18M tyre that should perform off-road exceptionally well.
