Kawasaki KX450 Overview
Indian Kawasaki Motors has rolled out 2019 version of their motocrosser – KX450 with a host of updates ahead of the festive season. The new engine of the KX450 is more powerful than its predecessor. Since this bike is not road legal, it doesn’t need to be registered. The motorcycle is meant to be used for off-road riding or in competitions.
Kawasaki KX450 Styling & Comfort
Design-wise the KX 450 is perfectly built to justify its duties. The bike comes with a lighter aluminium perimeter frame with enhanced rigidity. Weight reduction in the frame was required as the addition of electric-start and a coil-spring fork has increased the weight of the bike.
The length of the bike is 2185 mm with a height of 1275 mm. The ground clearance of the bike is excellent at 340mm and the seat height is 955mm. The bike weighs 110 Kg and comes with a 6.2 liter fuel tank.
Kawasaki KX450 Engine & Transmission
The 2019 KX450 is a powered by a 449cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The engine comes with finger follower valve actuation system which helps it to produce an extra 3.4 PS of power.
Kawasaki KX450 Braking & Safety
Braking of KX450 has also been updated, thanks to the introduction of brake master cylinder. Braking duties is handled by a 270¬mm semi-floating petal disc on the front and a 250mm petal disc at the rear

Kawasaki KX450 Mileage
The KX450 buyers don’t look at mileage as one of the most important criteria. The bike is expected to deliver a mileage of 22-23 kmpl.
Kawasaki KX450 Interior
The riding position of KX450 can be tailored to personal preferences due to an adjustable handlebar and footpeg positions. The fuel tank is lower and flatter, making it easier to sit farther forward. The new KX450sports a number of new features like finger-follower valve actuation, electric start and a hydraulic clutch, all these features are new to this bike.
Kawasaki KX450 Performance and Handling
The KX450is amongst the most successful off-road bike in its segment. The bike comes with a lightweight chassis, which offers excellent control around the corners. The bike also features hydraulic clutch which offers a direct feel and lighter lever operation.
Suspension setup of KX450 comprises of inverted telescopic fork with adjustable compression and rebound damping adjustability. The rear suspension is a monoshock with rebound damping and 307mm adjustable spring preload.
The front end gets 80/100-21M tyre while the rear gets a 120/90-18M tyre that should perform off-road exceptionally well.
