Kawasaki Ninja 250SL Overview
Swathed in an all green/ebony body wrap that includes fairings, headlamp shrouds, fuel tank and a cowl, Kawasaki Ninja 250SL comes as a lightweight and compact bike. This 250cc machine aka Ninja RR Mono runs on a liquid cooled 4 stroke single cylinder DOHC based petrol engine garnering maximum power and torque values of 27.6PS at 9700rpm and 23Nm at 8200rpm respectively. The pulling power of the bike is ensured by a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox system operable by a wet multidisc clutch. The bike is built on an all new steel trellis frame making it about 20Kg lighter than its sibling Ninja 250R. Look wise, this bike is sure to garner eyeballs on account of its fully faired body, a single bulb trapezoidal headlamp, a clear and sharp windscreen, slim tyres wound on multi spoke alloy wheels, an overall ergonomic body holding a low but cushy seat, an 11 litres chiselled dual tone fuel tank, and an upward inclined exhaust. The handlebars sprout from either side of an all digital instrument panel that displays parameters of the bike. The bike holds dimensions of 1935mm in length, 685mm in width, 1075mm in height and 1330mm in wheelbase. Two tubular tyres measuring 100/80-17M/C 52S at the front and 130/70-17M/C 62S at the rear perform the duty of keeping traction on the roads. The revving tyres can be brought to halt on a dime by applying brakes consisting of a single 290mm petal disc at the front and a single 220mm petal disc at the back вЂ“ both backed by dual piston callipers. The bike has competition in the form of KTM RC200.

The ergonomic seating arrangement prevents riding fatigue and the two stylish mirrors, besides augmenting the style quotient give a good view of the vehicles behind. The presence of an ABS mechanism prevents the bike from skidding on wet surfaces. Also, riding over rough surfaces is going to be a breeze thanks to its 37mm telescopic fork suspension at the front and Uni-Track with adjustable spring preload suspension at the rear. Additionally, an electric start and a cover for the radiator fan that directs engine heat away from the rider ensure utmost comfort.
