Kawasaki Z1000 Overview

In 2013, Kawasaki showed a huge expansion in the sector of sports bike and further expanded its line up by launching its crude Z1000 and the Ninja 1000. Both the products were launched at the same time and each of them got its own audience to appreciate and applaud. Kawasaki Ninja Z1000 is company's yet another racing bike which is quite suitable for street riding as well.

It seemed that company did understand the Indian market and was hitting the hammer right at the hot spot. This bike easily go pasts 160 km/h and the world starts to get blurry smoothly at 200 km/h. Further, the suspensions and other features provided by the company makes it very suitable for the Indian market and the youth. Its fairing is such designed that overall it boosts the aerodynamics and since it was built with racing in mind, it was given quite a rough-tough,masculine body.

Kawasaki Z1000 Engine & Transmission

This bike shares much similarities with the Ninja 1000 and packs in 1,043cc DOHC, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 142PS of power at 10,000rpm and 111Nm of torque at 7,300rpm.

Along with this, it also hosts twin spar cast alloy frame with an upside-down telescopic suspension up front and a horizontal layout mono-shock at the back. The engine is mated with 6-speed gearbox and the rider can switch to any of the three traction modes to shift the power from the engine to the rear wheel.

Kawasaki Z1000 Mileage

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 offers an overall fuel efficiency of 15 kmpl and varies a little up and down depending on the road and traffic conditions. When buying such bikes, mileage is not the major point to consider and when you get such extreme power at your hands, it is not tough to compromise a little bit on the mileage.

Kawasaki Z1000 Performance and Handling

310mm dual petal disc up front and a single petal disc at the back instills in you a great sense of safety when you are pacing insanely and that's what matters a lot at such high speeds. The fuel tank size is very optimum i.e. ~19 litres which allows the rider to stretch up to many miles before going for a refill. The suspension brings to you a smooth ride even if you are driving in the roughest of the terrains.

Best thing about this bike is that it is a brutal and a nasty Kawasaki and is real quick in gathering the speed. 'Slow to Fastest' in just a few seconds and you go wee-hee in no time! It may look pricey at first looks but if you are really into racing things you will appreciate its worth in its first ride only. Street riding or highway racing, Kawasaki Ninja Z1000 is always ready to serve its rider.
