Kawasaki Z250 Overview

The new quarter liter naked motorcycle rolled out by Kawasaki is Ninja Z250, which was first displayed in the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. This naked star is brought in as completely knocked down units, thereafter, will be assembled locally and sold via Bajaj's pro-biking dealerships. The new Z250 seems to be an exact descendant of its elder sibling, the Z1000 and the Z800 in terms of design. In the world, which have mopeds, scooter and racing replicas in abundance, the distinct design of this naked star ensures to command attention. It looks aggressive whether standing still or on the move and what makes it significant than the ordinary 'naked' bikes, are its instantly recognizable silhouette and the imposing presence.

Kawasaki Z250 Engine & Transmission

Built for rider-friendly response, the new Kawasaki Z250 runs on a 4-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine with a displacement of 250cc. This parallel twin mill cranks off a high power output of 31.56bhp as low as 11000rpm along with a peak torque of 21Nm revs up at 10000rpm. Similar to Ninja 250, its engine has a sleeveless, die-cast aluminum cylinder with super sport style plated bores. A six speed constant mesh type, return shift gearbox is linked with this engine to bring exceptional hike in its performance.

Kawasaki Z250 Mileage

The dual throttle valves contributes to top performance too, decent combustion workout and benign fuel-consumption. However, it cannot go beyond delivering 20kmpl in city and if you take it on a wide road, it can go up to 25kmpl. In combined, its mileage will be 22kmpl.

Kawasaki Z250 Performance and Handling

In terms of performance, no compromise is made in order to avail the buyers a full throttle ride with an amazing power output. The top speed of this naked star is 170kmph and it can go up to the mark of 0 to 100kmph abruptly in 7 seconds.Uneven roads are the real test for a naked bike and to beat the heat, it is very essential that the bike should be properly armed with necessary apparatus. Kawasaki realized it right in the beginning that how zigzag the roads of India are, therefore, they have powered the new Kawasaki Z250 with a robust pair of suspensions including a 37mm hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and bottom-link uni-trak with 5 way adjustable preload at its rear.

Similarly, its braking system consists of 290mm single disc, hydraulic, two-piston calipers at the front and a 220mm single disc, two-piston calipers serves its rear wheel for instant braking no matter how fast it is ridden. A smooth handle, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres also facilitate it to be more stable. It is a heavy-weight bike with 168 kgs, which keeps it firm on bumpy roads.
This bike is a part of the plan of Kawasaki, which is to strengthen their presence in the country and that is why they have their focus on launching two new more globally renowned but more affordable vehicles. Kawasaki Z250 price might seem high; however, it is worth the price when it comes to features, looks and power it provides. There are three white, Red and Black vibrant shades in which this two-wheeler is available.
