Bike variant reviewed for: KTM Duke 200

Year of Manufacture: 2014 | Driven no. of Kms. : 30000
  • Pros: Acceleration
  • Cons: This review is based on personal experience. KTM Duke 200 is One of the worst bike when it comes to maintainance. I feel I have spent same amount on petrol and matainace. For 15,000km Petrol = 36,000 (bike milage 30km/LTR) Petrol price - 75 (AVG) Maintenance Service = 3 times x 3500 = 10500 (min) Fork oil seal replacement= 2500 Starter motor stator coil replacment =3500 Chain sprocket replacement= 3500 Oil seal replacement = 1500 Start on button replacement = 1200 Fuel sensor replacement= 1000 Clutch wire replacement = 200 Chain lubrication For every 500kms = 100 I.e for 15,000kms = 3000 Seat cover (bacause seat started cracking) = 800 Both tires = 7000 Total = 34,700 I can even show bill for all the things I have mentioned above. Bike is not designed for Indian roads. It's just a over priced low quality bike. I strongly recommend not to buy this bike. Bike has lot of heating issues. I feel by legs are getting fried when I ride bike in traffic. This heating itself shows how inefficient the bike is. Most of the energy is converted into heat rather then useful power.
