Moto Guzzi Norge GT 8V OverviewMoto Guzzi Norge GT 8V is a sports touring motorcycle that is an untiring traveller and has replaced the premium bike Norge 1200 form the company . It comes fitted with the latest version of Moto Guzzi 8V Twin cylinder engine. The easy to read instrument panel with trip computer, vibration dampening footrests and snit-slip seat are its major highlights. It also comes with all the necessary touring equipment like the side bags, the ABS and the electrically adjustable windscreen. Design: The new and distinctly modern shapes in the bodywork , fairing and bags of Moto Guzzi Norge GT 8V make its a show stealer. The wonderful Italian design and top class build quality make this bike highly desirable. The windscreen is electronically adjusted to suit riding conditions and works well in concert with the new fairing to offer ample protection to the rider and the passenger. It has been reshaped to help increase the airflow over the aircooled engine. Rider fatigue is significantly reduced by the vibration dampened footrests and the seat with anti-slip feature and пїЅbody formingпїЅ foam provides added comfort to the rider. Engine and performance: The air-cooled, 1151cc, 90 degree V-twin engine mounted in Moto Guzzi Norge GT 8V retains the signature Moto Guzzi stature with heads that protrude from under the fuel tank. This new 8 valve engine is paired with a reworked stainless steel 2-in-1 exhaust system for better breathing. It helps to push the power rating to 102bhp at 5500rpm. The six speed gearbox offers power to the rear wheel through a trouble-free drive shaft. With rear shock, ABS brakes, upgraded forks and new styling, Moto Guzzi Norge GT 8V offers long range travel with a touch of elegance. Pricing and Competition: The expected launch date of Moto Guzzi Norge GT 8V is 1stprice range of Rs 2 lakh to Rs. 2.4lakh. It will lock horns with other sports touring bikes like Triumph Trophy SE which is also an upcoming touring bike but will sport a much higher price tag and Royal Enfield Fury 500 that is expected to be launched in early 2015 and will also fall in the same price bracket.
