With the trend of EVs (Electric Vehicles) growing across the world, the automobile manufacturing company named Okinawa Autotech launched its first-ever electric scooter as the Okinawa Ridge. The electric scooter claims to be offering top-notch performance with its electric motor capabilities. On the first glance, the Okinawa Ridge appears to resemble a scaled-down Honda Dio. The front side of the scooter comes with a sharp rake along with the attractive headlamp. The overall paint quality & finish of the scooter is also impressive as the electric scooter is available in a myriad of color options including Green, Red, Red White, and overall White shades.

Under the all-plastic, yet lightweight body of the electric scooter, there is the 800W electric motor. The electric motor of the Okinawa Ridge is powered by the 24 Ah, 60V vRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead Acid) battery. The valves of the battery functions of the pressure-release technology which expels hydrogen which is used for building up the power necessary to activate the electric scooter. The valve-based electric motor relieves the riders from switching off the plug as the battery gets fully charged. The electric motor of the scooter is capable of producing a total power of 1.07 BHP.

The electric scooter comes fitted with telescopic forks towards the front and dual shock absorbers towards its rear end. Braking duties of the scooter are handled by drum brakes located on both the wheels. Being able to achieve an overall top speed of around 55 kmph, the scooter by Okinawa Autotech features the mileage range of around 80-90 kmpl. The kerb weight of the scooter is around 96 kg as the scooter has the capacity of carrying around 150 kg of total load. The Okinawa Ridge comes with fitted with standard features like alloy wheels, drum brakes, and tubeless tyres. The Okinawa Ridge also features the complete digital instrument cluster which is able to display the important riding information like riding time, battery charging status, overall speed, odometer, and others to the riders.

The electric scooter by Okinawa Autotech is available with two riding modes: Eco & Sport. The Eco Okinawa Ridge model can go up to a maximum speed of 35 kmph, while the Sport Okinawa Ridge model reaches the maximum speed of 55 kmph. The electric scooter company claims that once the battery is fully charged, it is able to cover a distance of around 80-85 km without charging. With the battery fully charged, the Okinawa Ridge behaves like the standard 100-110 cc scooter as it offers smooth torque and detailed throttle response. The wide seat of the Okinawa Ridge electric scooter ensures a comfortable ride and even the pillion on board will have no reason to complain as the overall ride & performance of the scooter is excellent.
