Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Overview
Royal Enfield Bullet 500 is the oldest icon that has been in continues production since 1948 from the stable of Royal Enfield. Bullet 500 is the elder sister of the Bullet 350 with more power and torque. The design of the twins is the same and the only difference is the paint scheme and the more powerful engine. The Bullet 500 stays true to its original design and looks like the original Bullet which was launched way back in 1931. This is one of the reasons that Bullet has always been so demanding in the Indian market due to its rich heritage. Bullet still carries the thump for which it is so famous for. It was the Bullet that started the Royal Enfield’s thump and it has contributed a lot for making the Royal Enfield famous around the world. Royal Enfield Bullet 500 colours are Black and Forest Green.
Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Styling & Comfort
Bullet 500 derives the styling cues from the original Bullet and comes with old-school design The front houses a circular halogen headlamp with body-coloured mudguard and suspension. The side profile consists of teardrop designed fuel tank, stripped single-peace and toolbox. 19-inch spoked wheels just add to the retro-charm and enhance the overall beauty of the motorcycle. At the rear, the taillight with orange indicators is derived from the Bullet of 1948. Bullet 500 offers supreme comfort due to the single-piece seat which is long and wide. The circular instrument console is very basic and shows an analogue speedometer with an odometer to the rider. The pillion and the rider will feel very comfortable on the long highway journeys due to the well-cushioned seat. The handle-bars are within reach with front-set footpegs which make it easy to cruise on the motorcycle as the riding triangle formed is suitable for daily use as well as highway duties. The Royal Enfield logo on the fuel tank is finished in a contrasting colour so that it can be highlighted.
Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Performance and Handling
Once, you ride the Bullet 500, you will instantly feel that massive torque surge right from the lower rev range. Due to this, the throttle response feels quick and the rider does not have to the rev the engine hard for city overtakes. The wheelbase is long and the suspension is softly sprung so that the ride quality of the motorcycle is compliant and absorbs the bumps and potholes of our Indian road. The handlebars and footpegs start to vibrate when the engine is revved hard but if the motorcycle is driven easily it will reward you with the Royal Enfield’s signature thump and cruising abilities. The motorcycle is not made for attacking corners, it is made for relaxed riding in a straight line.
