Should we put the bike on idle for few minutes before first usage of the day?
Putting the bike’s engine on idle before first usage of the day is very important as when the engine is off for long hours the components in an engine are fit together with extremely low tolerance and these components develop friction and can wear if the lubrication is not proper. Engine components are designed to work at specific temperatures which are much higher than the atmospheric temperatures and engine oil too work effectively after it has reached at the required operating temperature else it'll be too thick. So it's good to let the engine heat up by idling it for 3-4 minutes before first usage of the day but you can immediately switch off the engine after reaching your destination as then engine has nothing to do but to cool down only.
