Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm Overview
Royal Enfield Desert Storm was made to remember the soldiers who fought in the desert. Royal Enfield has given a matt sand-coloured look to the whole bike. It only gets cosmetic changes and no mechanical changes. That torquey engine and the “thumps” have been carried forward from the regular Classic 500. The pillion seat has been removed which reveals the rear fender continuing the theme of Desert Storm.
Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm Styling & Comfort
The design of the Desert Storm has been carefully designed so that they can continue the sand theme. The design is all derived from the regular Classic 500 but the paint scheme is specific to the Desert Storm with some special detailing. The special detailing includes the Royal Enfield’s logo on the fuel tank which has been finished in Matte White. The white logo with the sand paint scheme really does enhances the overall appeal of the motorcycle due to the contrasting theme. Desert Storm continues to get halogen circular headlamps with turn indicators. The rear seat has been removed and the exposed fender really does look more appealing. Continuing the retro theme the motorcycle gets chrome finished spoked wheels.
Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm Performance and Handling
The engine produces massive torque which feels addictive when you keep driving the motorcycle. The Classic Desert Storm performs quite well in a straight line due to its heavyweight and loads of torque. The ride quality of the motorcycle is very good and it absorbs most of the bumps and potholes. There are vibrations which you will feel if the engine is revved hard or with an early gear-shift. The Desert Storm shines when cruising on the highway around speeds of 60kmph to 80kmph.
