Royal Enfield Continental GT 750
Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Overview
The Continental GT has been the fastest, lightest and the most powerful Royal Enfield in production. A bike with the feel and looks of a café racer is now expected to take birth in the form of a more powerful and high growling machine. The Continental GT 750 is expected later this year and as suggested by the name there, it will come with an upgrade in the engine of the Continental GT. The company has been testing the 750 for the past few months in regions of Europe.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Engine & Transmission
The engine is likely to be a parallel twin750; the exact cubic capacity is not out yet. The 535 cc Continental GT produces about 29.1 bhp of power and the 750 is expected to produce near about 50 bhp of power. The competitor will be the Harley Davidson Street 750, which produces 47 bhp of maximum power and torque being around 62 Nm. The engine is expected to be liquid cooled and mated to a 6-speed gearbox, unlike the 5-speed gearbox of the 535 cc. The launch price is expected to be around Rs. 3-4 Lakh.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Mileage
The mileage of 750 is likely to be less than that of the 535 cc, which gives 25 kmpl. So we can expect the mileage to be around 15-20 kmpl. The looks and appearance are also expected to be pretty much the same. Yes, there will be few additional features as this is an upgrade, and with that, there is a possibility of ABS being on offer. Also, from revealed images, we can see twin exhausts and that the 750 should be a bigger head turner. The brakes are likely to be the same, with front 300 mm disc and rear 240 mm disc with an analogue instrument cluster.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Performance and Handling
Performance and handling are likely to go up as it’ll be Royal Enfield’s first bike in the 700-800 cc segment. This 750 should give a very punchy acceleration and the torquey motor will also increase the top speed figures, along with the grunt. With the Indian market having so much love for Royal Enfield, the 750 is expected to be a great hit and a desirable product in the market.
