Suzuki Burgman Street Overview
Suzuki has finally launched the much-awaited Burgman Street bike series in the Indian automobile markets. The scooter is available in a single variant and was unveiled at the recent Auto Expo 2018. Suzuki will be launching the Suzuki Burgman Street as the second 125cc version of the scooters in India after its release of the Access 125. However, unlike Access 125, the all-new Suzuki Burgman Street will be first-ever maxi-scooter in the given segment. Suzuki aims at offering something dramatic with the launch of the Suzuki Burgman Street that comes fully loaded with high-end features while it shares the powertrain with the Suzuki Access 125.
Suzuki Burgman Street Engine & Transmission
The new-gen Suzuki Burgman Street derives its power from the 124cc single cylinder motor engine. The engine is capable of producing 8.5 BHP power at 6500 rpm. The scooter’s engine is also capable of producing the peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5000 rpm. The Suzuki Burgman Street scooter has been paired with the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) unit. The engine is also equipped to the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology.
Suzuki Burgman Street Braking & Safety
For tackling bad road conditions, the Suzuki Burgman Street receives telescopic forks towards the front along with a monoshock unit towards its rear end. Identical to the Suzuki Access 125, the Suzuki Burgman Street gets the 12-inch front along with the 10-inch rear alloy wheels. The braking duties of the scooter are managed by the presence of disc brakes towards the front and the drum unit at the rear end. Towards enhancing the safety features, Suzuki offers the specialized Combined Braking System to the maxi-scooter unit.

The Suzuki Burgman Street will be competing against the TVS Ntorq 125, the Honda Grazia, the Aprilia SR 125, and the Vespa SXL 125 in the given segment.

The revolutionary Suzuki Burgman Street features the engine displacement of 124 cc along with claiming to return an overall mileage of around 53.5 kmpl. In terms of the designing, the Suzuki Burgman Street receives the maxi-scooter-like styling. The bike sports high-end features including the presence of tall windscreen, LED headlamps, LCD instrument cluster, and LED position taillights for an enhanced appearance. In addition to these features, the Suzuki Burgman Street also receives additional 12V charging socket along with storage bins behind the front-side apron, a multi-function key slot, and tubeless tyres.
Suzuki Burgman Street Performance and Handling
The handlebar of the scooter along with the stretched floorboard of the vehicle makes up for a relaxed riding posture. The maxi scooter offers ample footboard space along with a hook under the front seat for hanging bags. In the given maxi-scooter style, the overall rider seat area has been made slightly tapered with the pillion seat section appearing broad & comfortable.
