Suzuki Intruder 150 Overview
Suzuki Motorcycle India has recently launched the 150cc cruiser by taking its design inspiration from its predecessor model Suzuki Intruder M1800R. The new Intruder 150 model by Suzuki shares the same features as that of the Suzuki Gixxer 150cc in terms of the engine, suspension, and chassis. Coming with a highly distinctive design, the new 150cc Suzuki Intruder comes with stylish cruiser elements and high-end ergonomics to make it stand out from the rest. The bike comes with friendly ergonomics, a highly accessible 740 mm seat height, compact handlebar and other exclusive features that make riding a fun experience with this cruiser.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Engine & Transmission
Being a successor cruiser model of the flagship model Gixxer 150 by Suzuki, the Intruder 150cc cruiser makes use of the same 150cc engine. The Intruder receives the same combination of high performance, good economy, and excellent refinement in terms of engine specifications as that of the Suzuki Gixxer 150cc model. However, it is not completely identical to the engine specifications of the Suzuki Gixxer. The Suzuki Intruder 150cc features the engine which is capable of producing a peak power of 14.8 PS at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm. The Suzuki Intruder 150 engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission gearbox. The presence of a larger airbox and an entirely new exhaust design makes the Suzuki Intruder 150 stand out from its standard model. In addition to this, Intruder 150 also comes 8kg heavier to the standard Suzuki Gixxer model.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Mileage
Suzuki Intruder 150 comes with an impressive mileage of around 40-45 Kmpl with the fuel capacity of 11 litres. The Suzuki Intruder 150 borrows much of its design and other technical aspects from the Intruder M1800R –the largest cruiser manufactured by Suzuki. Most of the major highlights of the Suzuki Intruder M1800R have been integrated into Suzuki Intruder 150cc cruiser. These include the extensions on the fuel tank and the triangular shape of the headlamp. In addition to this, the front indicators of the cruiser have been mounted onto the cowl and the rearview mirror houses the classic chrome finish to accentuate the overall look of the motorbike.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Performance and Handling
To help in bringing the Intruder 150 to a halt in an efficient manner, the cruiser sports stylish disc brakes that are fitted up front and also at the rear. The engine of the cruiser sits in a well-designed frame which is similar to the Suzuki Gixxer, but not completely identical. In terms of the overall performance, this cruiser appears to be offering a fun riding experience. With a longer wheelbase, the cruiser might not be running as sharply as the Gixxer, but it performs rather well for itself. The brakes are excellent and come with single-channel ABS system which also serves to be highly cost-effective.
