Suzuki Intruder 150 SP Overview
The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki has launched snazzier variants of its popular Intruder cruiser in India. The special edition models have been named as the Intruder SP and Intruder FI SP, and are priced at Rs 1.0 lakh and 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. A launch just ahead of the festive season will help Suzuki garner more volumes in terms of sales.
Suzuki Intruder 150 SP Styling & Comfort
The silhouette of the Special Editions of Intruder remains pretty much the same apart from some cosmetic changes. The new variants come in new matte black colour along with red accents and a cushioned backrest for the pillion. Enhancing its styling are blacked-out elements like twin exhaust tips, rear mirror housings and alloy wheels.
The length of the motorcycles is 2130mm with a height of 1095mm. The ground clearance of the motorcycle is decent at 170mm and the seat height is 740mm. The bike weighs 149 Kg and the fuel tank capacity is 11 liters.
Suzuki Intruder 150 SP Performance and Handling
The motorcycle just feels right in most real world situations, whether you are filtering through traffic or doing the daily commute, it doesn't feel cumbersome or unmanageable. It comes with telescopic forks at the front and swing-arm type mono-shock at the rear to give you that classy ride comfort. The front end gets a 100/80- 17 tubeless tyres while the rear gets a chunky 140/60-R17 tubeless radial tyre that should serve you well on most kinds of terrain, barring extremes.

As there is no mechanical change, the special editions of the Suzuki Intruder should return the same fuel efficiency of 43-44 km/l, which is a decent figure for a 150cc commuter.
Suzuki Intruder 150 SP Engine & Transmission
The Intruder Special Edition variants sport the same 154.9 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine that also powers Gixxer twins. It offers a maximum power of 14.8 bhp at 8000 rpm along with a peak torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is available in both carburetor and fuel-injection variants.
Suzuki Intruder 150 SP Braking & Safety
Braking duties are carried out by disc brakes on both ends. Brakes are aided by ABS and offer very good stopping power.
