Triumph Thruxton R Overview
The Thruxton R is the latest addition in retro classic café racer family of the iconic British brand, Triumph Motorcycles. The new Thruxton R is the successor of the highly famous Triumph Thruxton and with its launch the company redefined the way café racers are made today. Its new design and body lines delineate the amount of detailing that has gone through the bike and even after being a retro café racer, the Thruxton R still manages to look and deliver by all standards of modern motorcycles. The bike is offered with a plethora of accessories that promises to make the ride as distinguished as it can be. Over 160 accessories are available for the Thruxton R which can be chosen according to one’s own taste.
Triumph Thruxton R Engine & Transmission
The bike derives its power from a 1200cc, 8-valve, parallel-twin engine that works with a 6-speed transmission. It delivers 112 Nm at 4950 rpm which is 62% more when compared to the last generation Thruxton. While the maximum power is now 41% more which is 96bhp at 6750rpm. The engineers have paid special attention to ensure better power figures right from the bottom end of the rev range. The engine also features a lighter crank and airbox unique to the bike. The bike comes equipped with upswept twin megaphone exhausts that separate Triumph from other brands. The company also claims an over-all 11% better fuel-economy than its previous model.

Features like different riding modes, ride-by-wire, engine immobilizer, USB charging socket, LED DRL headlamp, LED rear light, traction control, torque assist clutch and twin feature clocks make the Thruxton R one of the most technically sound café racer motorcycles in the market today.
