Triumph Tiger 1200 Overview
Triumph Motorcycles has finally taken its wraps for the fully updated model of the standard Triumph Tiger 1200 in the Indian automobile markets. Recently, Triumph Motorcycles launched the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 in a single model –the XCX which is claimed to be one of the most advanced ranges of the motorcycles by Triumph ever. There have been several major changes brought about in the latest motorcycle by Triumph Motorcycles. Triumph claims that the motorbike receives more than 100 new updates on the overall model.
Triumph Tiger 1200 Engine & Transmission
The Triumph Tiger 1200 continues using the same engine as the previous bike model. The bike comes with a 1215 cc engine displacement 3-motor in-line engine capable of generating 139 BHP of power at 9350 rpm. The bike also produces a peak torque of 122 Nm at 7600 rpm. The engine of the bike has been paired with the 6-speed manual transmission gearbox which receives the bi-directional quick-shifter.
Triumph Tiger 1200 Braking & Safety
Towards the front, the updated Triumph Tiger 1200 bike receives a 48 mm WP upside down forks with around 190 mm of travel. Moreover, this unit is electrically adjustable as well. Towards the rear, the bike receives a WP monoshock unit having a travel of 193 mm which also serves to be adjustable electrically. On the braking fronts, the bike receives twin 305 mm disc brakes with four-piston Brembo calipers and a 282mm single disc along with 2-piston Nissin caliper.

The 1215 engine capacity bike offers a mileage of around 18 kmpl. In terms of the overall design, the new-gen Triumph Tiger 1200 tends to be around 1 kg lighter than its previous model as the company aims at saving on its weight on the bike’s exhaust, engine, and chassis. Moreover, the bike comes equipped with LED headlights along with LED DRLs running across the lamp offering the bike a highly unique look. The adaptive cornering lights of the bike have been improved and are now dependent on the lean angle of the bike which has been monitored by the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). The bike receives the dazzling full-colour TFT digital instrument console along with a 5-way joystick.
Triumph Tiger 1200 Performance and Handling
Being 11 kg lighter than the previous model, the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 is expected to deliver amazing riding specifications to the riders. Moreover, the new-gen Triumph Tiger 1200 also comes equipped with the latest IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) along with updated high-end electronics like the optimized cornering ABS, Hill-hold assist, traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, and as many as 6 riding modes (on the basis of the model that you will be purchasing). The bike also comes equipped with an electrically adjustable windscreen, optional seats & heated grips, and 12V power outlets.
