With the latest series of the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 series, the bike manufacturing company has come up with as many as 100 new updates, lesser weight, and more power features. With around 4 years of development after the given Triumph Tiger 1200 series, Triumph is highly confident of the new, revised line of the bike leading the class in terms of technology, touring comfort, and riding dynamics. The biggest feature of the latest Triumph Tiger 1200 series is the particularly 22 pounds lighter overall weight features. 

Triumph Tiger 1200 Engine & Transmission

The latest Triumph Tiger 1200 gets its power from the same 1215 cc, 3-cylinder, in-line, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. However, there are a few updates with respect to the engine specifications of the bike including a lightweight crankshaft and flywheel, the latest magnesium cam cover, and the standard Arrow exhaust present in the top-spec variants of the bike. The new powerful engine of the Triumph Tiger 1200 is capable of generating a power of 141 BHP at 9.350 rpm along with the peak torque of 122 Nm at 7600 rpm. The engine of the bike has been mated to the 6-speed transmission gearbox.

The latest Triumph Tiger 1200 comes with the innovative range of the Metzeler and the TSAS tyres to ensure advanced braking system of the bike. Additionally, there is also the presence of IMU-connected cornering traction control adding more stability to the bike. With the help of the cornering ABS, the riders can also brake into corners for enhanced safety.

The new-generation Triumph Tiger 1200 comes with an engine displacement value of 1215 cc along with a host of additional features that aim to spike the overall riding experience. In terms of the overall feature updates, the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 receives all LED lights, new adaptive cornering lights, a fully-colored adjustable TFT dashboard, illuminated switchgear, updated riding modes, and hill-holding controls across the top & mid-specification variants. Additionally, there is the presence of an integrated braking system that comes along with some variants, shift assist, cornering ABS, an updated cruise control, and the keyless ignition.

Triumph Tiger 1200 Performance and Handling

For enhancing the overall handling and riding performance of the bike, Triumph has invested several years of innovations and updates to upgrade the same. The adaptive cornering LED lights of the bike have been improved and are now monitored by the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). There is also the addition of a new 6-th riding mode known as the “off-road pro” riding mode which disengages any kind of electronic intervention along with the ABS as the suspension sets itself up for offering enhanced performance on the off-road capabilities. Moreover, Triumph has also introduced additional features like a bi-directional quickshifter, hill-holding function, keyless ignition, and others to enhance the overall performance.
