TVS Apache RTR 160 BS6 Overview
TVS Apache was the first motorcycle to introduce Anti-Lock Braking System and petal disc brakes in India. Apache RTR 160 is the youngest and the most affordable sibling in the Apache line-up.
TVS Apache RTR 160 BS6 Styling & Comfort
The styling of the Apache RTR 160 looks muscular due to the bulky fuel tank. The graphics and the tank extensions add to the muscular feel of the motorcycle. At the front, Apache 160 gets aggressive headlamps with Daytime-Running Lamps which is inspired by a beast. The 3-D TVS logo with an engine cowl enhances the overall appeal of the Apache. The tank scoops on both sides add muscularity to the motorcycle. At the rear, you get LED taillamps with turn-indicators. The instrument cluster is surrounded by the faux carbon-fibre finish and gets a lap time recorder and top speed indicator. The single-seat configuration is comfortable for both rider and the pillion. The flexibility of electric and kick start further adds to the ease of the driver.
TVS Apache RTR 160 BS6 Performance and Handling
The performance from the engine is adequate and punchy for daily use. The engine has been tuned for power in the low and mid-range of the rev-band which makes the Apache RTR 160 fun to drive in the city due to the torque present in mid-range of the torque band. Having said that, the vibrations start to creep in if the engine is revved hard. The Apache RTR 160 offers the perfect blend between the performance and mileage because of which it is comfortable for both city commutes as well as having a little bit of fun. The telescopic front and Monotube Inverted Gas-filled shocks(MIG) at the rear absorbs most of the potholes and bumps of the Indian roads. TVS Apache RTR 160 top speed is 110kmph.
