TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS Overview
TVS Apache series has been one of the best selling motorcycles from the TVS. Apache RTR 180 is the elder sibling to the Apache RTR 160. It gets the same aggressive design language but gets more power and torque figures. TVS's racing DNA can be seen in the motorcycle. The Apache RTR 180 derives a lot of parts from the Apache RTR 160. TVS is also offering an Anti-Lock Braking System as a safety measure.
TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS Styling & Comfort
TVS has used the same design as it was liked by everyone with the RTR 160. At the front, there are headlamps with Daytime-Running Lamps which looks like the face of a beast. Then, you get a muscular fuel tank with aggressive graphics and a 3-D TVS logo. The engine cowl and the extended shrouds enhance the side profile of the motorcycle. The sleek rear of the RTR 180 looks sharp due to the LED taillamp. The digital instrument cluster is backlit in blue colour whereas the analogue tachometer houses the telltale lights. The instrument cluster shows information like a lap time recorder, top speed indicator and is surrounded by carbon fibre cues for a sporty design. The single-piece seat provides ample support for both the rider and the pillion for long journeys as well as daily commutes.
TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS Performance and Handling
The performance from the engine is adequate and punchy for daily use. The engine has been tuned for power in the low and mid-range of the rev-band which makes the Apache RTR 180 fun to drive in the city due to the low-end torque. However, the vibrations start to creep in if the engine in the top-end of the rev-band. The RTR 180 is a perfect balance between the mileage and performance and is even comfortable for daily commutes to the office or somewhere. The telescopic front and Monotube Inverted Gas-filled shocks(MIG) at the rear absorbs most of the potholes and bumps of the Indian roads.

TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS Braking & Safety
Braking duties are handled by a 270 mm petal-type disc in the front and a 200 mm petal-type disc at the rear. TVS also offers tubeless tyres for peace of mind in case of a puncture. The braking duties are enhanced due to the addition of Super-Moto Anti-lock Braking System by TVS which works on the front wheel only that means that it is a Single-Channel Unit.
