TVS Apache RTR 220 Overview
TVS Apache has been a sporty commuter from the day it was launched. It will still carry the TVS Racing DNA with a naked body type. At the front, there will be a LED headlamps with DRLs. Braking duties will be handled by petal discs in the front and at the rear. TVS will also offer Dual-channel ABS. The digital instrument console will be fully loaded with features and will also come with Bluetooth connectivity. The slight footpegs will provide a sporty riding position. At the rear, there will be a LED taillamp with a flat rear tyre. Not much is known about the engine of the Apache RTR 220. However, it will produce more power and torque output than the 200cc Apache.
If launched, TVS Apache RTR 220 expected price can be around Rs. 1.38 lakhs. However, Apache RTR 220 expected launch date is still not revealed. Apache RTR 220 specs may resemble the “TVS Zeppelin” which means the engine may produce a max power of 20-25 bhp and a peak torque of around 20Nm. It is needless to say that the engine will be fuel-injected and Apache 220 may deliver a mileage of around 35kmpl. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. TVS may also feature slip and Assist clutch for smooth gear-shifting. Just like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, there can be an option to get Pirelli tyres for more grip and sporty handling.
If launched the Apache RTR 220 will compete with Bajaj Pulsar 220F, KTM Duke 250, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Yamaha FZ25.
