TVS Sport Overview

Envisioned as a stylish 100 cc commuter bike for the discerning masses, TVS Sport is here to hit the market, with excelling in all the major sections - style, mileage and price. Catering to the needs of new generation motorcyclists this motorcycle has power and style too. Elements like amazing design and great specs add to that.

TVS Sport Engine & Transmission

TVS Sport is powered by a 99.7 cc, 4-stroke engine putting out maximum power of 5.5 KW at 7500 rpm and 7.5 nm of torque at 5000 rpm. Th numbers seem adequate not only for a city environment but also capable of tacking the highways as and when required. Power to the wheels is transmitted via a 4 speed constant mesh gearbox that is linked to the rear wheel via chain drive. Boasting a 51 mm:48.8 mm bore:stroke ratio, the oversquare engine is punchy enough for the city and adequate for the highways. The compression ratio of 9.15:1 helps keep the fires burning in the combustion chamber too, making it good for that extra dose of power.

TVS Sport Mileage

Coming back to our favourite topic of discussion- fuel economy, the TVS Sport claims an average mileage of 82.9 kmpl, a fact that seems plausible considering the inherent nature of the engine and all the hard R&D inputs that the TVS boffins keep coming up with time and again. On the road, any bike ridden sensibly has the potential to provide good fuel economy and TVS seems confident that they should be able to see actual figures close to the ones claimed. A good bike is what we see here, with the right amount of styling, performance and handling. Should be more than enough to keep the average commuter interested in the TVS range and boost sales for sure.

TVS Sport Performance and Handling

On the move, the TVS Sport does not disappoint either, for a commuter. The ride is firm and well damped courtesy the 110MM stoke hydraulic fork providing front suspension and the 5 way adjustable shock doing duty at the rear. The adjustability part should help slightly in terms of providing performance oriented customers adapt the damping according to their individual preferences. The sleek looks of the bike are further accentuated by the stylish two tone graphics that add a swoopy element to the overall design- a surefire way to make the bike stand out among its peers. Add to that the all-black engine and exhaust treatment reminiscent of some other cult bikes and you have a champion in the making for sure. TVS says 'impression jamaao' and surely the bike does manage to cut a stylish impression with the right bits to make it worth the while.
