United Motors Renegade Mojave Overview
The UM Renegade Commando Mojave is a highly classic edition of the Renegade series by the UM American bike company. Following a sand motif, the bike is only available in matt brown color shade and comes with matching tank pouch and saddlebags. The special sticker on the bike claims that it is the Mojave-style owing to its rugged and robust appearance. The Joshua Trees on the bike’s sticker indicates the Mojave Desert in America and adds a niche touch to the UM Renegade Mojave bike. The bike considers the Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm as its strongest rival as that is also available as a sand motif cruiser.
United Motors Renegade Mojave Engine & Transmission
The Renegade Commando Mojave bike by UM also makes use of the same engine as that of the UM Renegade Commando Classic bike. Most of the propelling tasks on the bike are performed by the powerful 279.5 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, fuel injected engine. The engine has been mated for producing around 25.15 PS of power at 8500 rpm and 23 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm. The engine features are exactly similar to that of the UM Renegade Commando Classic model. The power of the bike gets transferred to the rear wheel with the help of a 6-speed transmission gearbox. Even the overall suspension and braking performance tend to be no different than the UM Renegade Commando Classic version. The only difference between these two versions by UM is the missing windscreen which might make a major difference with respect to the overall comfort level.
United Motors Renegade Mojave Mileage
The bike features an impressive mileage of around 25 to 35 kmpl, quite similar to the other UM models. In addition to this, the bike has a fuel capacity of 18 Litres and is of the cruiser type. The total weight of the bike is around 179 kg when filled with oil & fuel. This might make this beast a little slower in comparison to its other rivals.
United Motors Renegade Mojave Performance and Handling
Given the identical look of both the bikes by UM, the UM Renegade Mojave also feels equally comfortable on the roads by cruising at around 90-100 kmph using the 6th gear. The cycle parts of both the bikes are the same. The Mojave makes use of a dual cradle chassis, hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear, and conventional forks on the front end for offering a comfortable ride quality. The suspension of the bike which can soak up even in the deepest of bumps & terrains along with the frame and high-end TVS tyres –all of these make up for a light feel in terms of handling. On an overall basis, UM has done a fair job by introducing this machine with advanced features for an excellent riding experience. Those looking for an affordable, American cruiser to swag it out on the roads can go for buying this beast!
