Piaggio with its launch of the Vespa series in India since 2012 has made a lot of hush in the plethora of scooters and bikes in the market. Though stylish and highly advanced technological, Vespa has always had a price that is sky high and the company as such has been targeting only people who use premium scooters.
Vespa FI Expected Engine
News hear recently reveal that Piaggio is thinking about using fuel injectors on Vespa scooters that currently come equipped with carburettors. It will be powered by an air-cooled 125cc engine that engenders 10 PS of top-power along with 10.6Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a CVT gearbox. Besides this, the company is also said to be developing a new 150cc fuel-injected engine that will be inducted in to the domestic market by year end.Fuel injection technology is used in global markets for its scooters, however the same has not yet been done in India due to the inconsistent fuel quality in India, hence the company uses carburettors in India.
Vespa FI Expected Features
This time, Piaggio has come up with a modification and the fuel injection system is so designed that it is compatible with the gasoline available in India. Advantage of better performance and efficiency is guaranteed with such type of fuel injection. The FI version of Vespa is expected to be priced slightly higher than the regular model with at least Rs4000 more than the normal carburettor range. However, many consumers do not mind paying such a huge sum for the style and technology that they avail with the money. With its contemporary Vespa range, the Italian auto maker successfully inducted a new segment of premium retro-styled scooters in India This trendy and stylish looking scooter gives an enjoyable ride whether the distance is short or long. The new range will be launched in India in November, 2017. .

Piaggio currently offers Vespa in three variants - the Vespa, Vespa VX and Vespa S and their prices range between Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 80,000.
