Vespa Notte 125 Overview
Piaggio India’s latest offering comes in the form of new Vespa Notte 125 special edition scooter. The inspiration for its name ‘Notte’ comes from an Italian word which means ‘night’, and hence the scooter is offered with a fully blacked out paint scheme. The Notte 125 is placed as one of the most affordable products from the company undercutting the Vespa VXL by Rs 4000.
Vespa Notte 125 Styling & Comfort
Vespa Notte comes out as one of the most desirable two-wheelers in the range of Vespa scooters in India. For 2018, it still packs the same powertrain as before but comes in a new matte black paint scheme. The design of the Vespa Notte 125 is quite conventional yet appealing. The scooter is finished in black theme to differentiate it from the other scooters on sale. It features a projector headlight, LED taillamp and mirrors, grab rails and black wheels.
Vespa Notte 125 Performance and Handling
The ride quality of Notte 125 is excellent. With a kerb weight of just 114 kg, the scooter is a quick handler in city traffic conditions. It is capable to attain a maximum speed of 100kmph. The scooter for with single side arm up front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The suspension soaks up roads bumps and potholes, and Tyres also offer decent levels of grip and performance.
The length of the Note 125 is 1770mm with an overall height of 1140mm. The ground clearance is at 155mm, saddle height is 770mm and its kerb weight is 114 Kg. While the under seat storage capacity is 17 litres, it can hold up to 7 litres of fuel at most.

The Notte 125 is offered with a 2-year warranty/24000 kms. It will be suitable for people who would be using it on the daily commute and in-city duties. Though, it is the most affordable Vespa scooter on sale but still, it is expensive than most of its rivals.

The scooter returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 60 km/l, which is a decent figure and at par with everything in its competition.
Vespa Notte 125 Engine & Transmission
The scooter draws power from a 125cc, single cylinder air cooled engine that puts out 9.4 bhp at 7,500rpm and generates 9.9 Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox. It’s the same engine that does duty to the Aprilia SR 125.
Vespa Notte 125 Braking & Safety
The scooter deploys drum brakes at both the ends and runs on 10-inch alloy wheels on either side which are shod with 90/100 section tubed tyres. However, disc brakes could have been offered as an option.
Vespa Notte 125 Competitors
The scooter will compete with the likes of TVS NTORQ, Honda Activa Honda Grazia, 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Suzuki Burgman Street in India.
