Yamaha MT 125
Yamaha MT 125 Overview
The Yamaha MT-15 was a success due to its mean design and a brilliant engine. Now, the Yamaha has been working on the younger sibling which will be known as the MT-125. It will carry the same design as the MT-15 but will come with a 125cc engine. At the front, it will come with Daytime running lamps with a projector LED headlamp. The braking system, chassis and the bodywork will be derived straight from the MT-15. The suspension duties are carried by inverted telescopic front fork and rear monoshock. However, if brought to India the bike is expected to lose the inverted front forks and will be offered with Single-Channel ABS to keep the costs down just like the R-15 did. The digital instrument cluster will show vital information to the rider which will also is borrowed from the MT-15. The fuel-injected 125cc engine will produce around 15 PS and 12.4 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission. However, slip and assist clutch will not be offered by Yamaha. It is highly unlikely that the Yamaha will launch the MT-125 in India. However, if launched it will sit below the MT-15 and compete against the Duke 125.
