Why does my Yamaha Saluto jerk in the morning?
This is a generally a common problem of all carbureted bikes especially during winter and doesn’t experienced in fuel injected bikes. Carbureted bikes need proper warming up before using. During winter almost all carbureted bikes display jerky throttle response and tend not to respond properly to throttle inputs and also if the bike is new, it jerks until all the parts are accustomed to your way of riding. We advise you to always choke the bike for a couple of minutes and let it warm up to its optimum operating temperature. Revving the bike when the engine is not properly warmed also might harm the internals and the gearbox.
