Bike variant reviewed for: Yamaha Saluto

Year of Manufacture: 2017 | Driven no. of Kms. : 7591
  • Pros: I bought it as it is yamaha product. My friends who riding yamaha, suggested it. Superb engine no noise even in 80kmph. Soft suspension. Light weight. Good horn, comfort riding position, long seat, familiar. And importedly, remarkable 64 mileage in heavy bangalore traffic after 3rd service.
  • Cons: Very less power in starting stage for a 125cc bike . Even a splender or honda dream yuga can easily beat it. Middle range power is nice but lack of 5th gear it will end up in 90+ kmph as maximum speed. Rear brake is poor. And yamaha dealers and service mechanics are always hopeless.

Full Review:

Handling is fine. Less power but low weight. So its ok for family riders. Rear brake is not good so you must depends on disc which will makes some of fork problems. Forks are also not strong and service guys never solves its problem. Yamaha engine is really good, i have ride it already 7000 km. No problem since and good mileage of 60 + in city. Parts are durable. If you are familier, and not like to go so fast and mileage is your concern saluto 125 is your bike. You want to well pick up like shine saluto failes here. Finally a very decent product from yamaha company, a mileage bike with good package. But dealers, servicing is worst worst worst. Yamaha dealers and mechanics only spoiling yamaha brand. Still yamaha is trustable compare to honda and all other brand.
