Overview

Audi A6 2.8 FSI Description

Audi A6 2.8 FSI Petrol is the high powering petrol variant in the A6 fleet that comes powered by the efficient 2773 cc petrol mill. It is well-known for its high-tech features, luxury interiors and premium exteriors. Being an ultra-luxury sedan from the popular German automobile brand it enjoys its own place in the Indian sub-continent. However, it has to compete with other similar ranging ultra-premium saloon like Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series.

  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Exterior

From the outer appearance, Audi A6 2.8 FSI Petrol looks magnificent getting the impeccable design from German makers. It looks very sober in design and yes compared to cars like BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class it lacks that sporty charm somewhere. The most attractive features of its exteriors include - Xenon headlamps with DRL, Chrome Audi front grille, LED lights, front fog lamps, Chrome Exhausts, Alloy Wheels, LED Tail lamps etc.
  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Interior

Inside, you come with the unforgettable luxurious experience. The rear cabins get plenty of luxury stuff to attract you and even the front cabin is optimized for the premium most feel. Seats are mated with the top-notch leather quality and the dash-board though looks quite simple but is made of high quality plastics. The steering wheels looks good but seems little artificial and the instrument cluster hosts the unique Audi MMI System and Navigation.
  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Engine & Transmission

Under the hood, Audi A6 2.8 FSI Petrol comes powered by a 2773 cc 6-cylinder, 4-valve, FSI petrol engine that is potent enough to churn maximum power of 204 PS at 5200-6500 rpm and maximum torque of 280 Nm at 3000-5000 rpm. This FWD engine is mated to a manual transmission that supplies high power with no turbo lag.
  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Mileage

This variant gets the 2.8 FSI petrol engine that is capable to return fuel economy of 7 kmpl in city and 9 kmpl on highways. However, the ARAI statistics claim it to deliver mileage of 10.4 kmpl.
  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Braking and Safety

Audi A6 2.8 FSI Petrol is mechanised with the high tech braking and safety standards to offer its passengers with high safety experience. It comes featured by Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction control, Electronic Stability Programme and Four airbags. The Braking is mainly controlled by the front and rear disc brakes but for additional safety the company has installed this car with features like Hill Hold Control, Traction Control and Cornering Lights.
  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Performance and Handling

In terms of performance and handling, the A6 2.8 FSI is a good car to drive, however its steering wheel is not as free as of the BMWs. Also the power churning calibre is felt relatively lesser than the 5 Series. The car is fairly good in terms of ride control and road grip and even the road visibility is very good. The company has installed this car with efficient suspension system that irons the jolts and pot holes effectively. Furthermore, it clocks speed range of 0 – 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds with its top speed being 240 kmph.
  • Audi A6 2.8 FSI Verdict

The A6 2.8 Petrol is a very nice car in terms of comforts and features, however compared to the rivals the drive is so-so. It is too pricy but what it gets inside justifies its prices, but yes looks are not as sporty as the 5 Series and the E-Class.
