Harish's review on Bentley Mulsanne Sedan
Year of Manufacture : 2004 | Driven no. of Kms. : NA
- Pros: The Bentley Mulsanne has all the space and refinement that you expect of a true luxury car. It\'s brutally quick, easy to drive and rides comfortably.
- Cons: Not everyone will like the way it looks. The boot isn\'t as big as you\'d think and some interior parts look a bit similar to mainstream Audis.
You don't expect a huge, heavy saloon to match a sportscar for acceleration, but the Mulsanne can, thanks to a two-turbocharged 6.70-litre V8 engine with a monstrous 506bhp. The 0-70mph dash isn't normally relevant to cars like this, but on worth mentioning when it's a ludicrous 5.2 seconds. Progress is always smooth and effortless, thanks to a slick eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Mulsanne is a huge car, but doesn't feel it again . Whichever one of the four suspension and steering settings you choose, it's well controlled ends through corners and it's only when you're squeezing down narrow streets that yo're aware of its size. Selecting sporty mode brings a slightly firmer edge to the ride, but leave it in 'Bentley' or 'comfort' and the Mulsanne wafts imperiously over most surfaces.
