BMW 2 Series

BMW 2 series is basically the sedan version of their 1 series. BMW may soon launch the 2 series in India. The premium compact sedan comes with the exteriors of the 1 series and the interiors that are derived from the 3 series. At the front, the design of the 2-series look quite striking due to the newly designed kidney grilles which is flanked by LED headlamps with Daytime-Running Lamps. The 2 series get a different bumper than the 1 series, the bumper is a lot aggresive and sharp when compared to the 1 series. The side profile looks amazing due to the swooping lines and dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear consists of slim LED tailamps with a subtle rear lip spoiler. BMW 2 Series specs are offered with 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine. The diesel engine produces 190PS of power, 400Nm of torque and is mated to an 8-Speed AT for transmitting power to just the front wheels. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 140PS of power, 220Nm of torque and is mated to either a 6-Speed manual tranmsission or a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission for transmitting the power to the front wheels. The main highlight is the 2.0-litre petrol engine which produces 306PS of power, 450Nm of torque and is mated to an 8-speed AT for transmitting the power to all the 4-wheels. This is the engine which you can get with the M variant of the sedan. The M Sport variant gets additional sporty elements like M Sport brakes, Suspension, Steering wheel, light weight alloy wheels and carbon fibre elements to decrease the weight. BMW 2 Series price can be around Rs.35 lakhs.
