Battery disconnected and I am locked out of the trunk in my BMW 330i?

|Basically, in my opinion, the car acts as the earth rather than the battery, so you I suggest you hook your BMW 330i to 12 volts battery by connecting the positive with positive lead under the hood as well as attaching the ground to bare metal under the hood. Henceforth you will be able to unlatch the trunk. If in case you are unable to do so then call the BMW roadside assistance and they will take care of the matter in no time.|

Think i have been done dirty by recent mechanic, he says the filled the oil up with top of the line oil and this and that but my computer reads that it needs plus 1L and before the service i had it around the max level as i filled up myself recently. I opened up the bonnet and checked inside the engine for oil with a flashlight and there was oil as far as i could see. Just wondering if you can visually see the oil level in the engine if you open up the cap and look inside?
