BMW 4-Series Preview
Talking about the interiors in the 2019 BMW 4 series, there are self-dimming mirrors, 10-way power-adjustable sport front seats coupled with drivers-side memory functions, simulated leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Dual-Zone automatic climate control will be present to keep the car totally chilled. The iDrive infotainment system sports a 6.5-inch display with 9-speaker and 205-watt sound system which supports Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, iPod/USB connectivity, a USB port, CD player, auxiliary audio input and HD radio. The main highlights of the 440i coupe are the robust inline-6 engine which also features a keyless entry/ignition, a hands-free trunk opening, a Nappa leather cover on the car’s steering wheel and an update to the Harmon Kardon 400-watt/16-speaker surround sound system. The convertible version of 430i and 440i resembles their fixed-roof counterparts totally in addition with power-retractable hardtops, wind deflectors, foldable rear seats and an optional neck-warming air vents. The 430i coupe engine hosts a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which generates 248bhp and 349.8Nm of peak torque. Talking about the 440i, it hosts a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder capable enough to generate 320bhp and 447Nm of max torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission comes standard across all variants, but the manual transmission is also offered on both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive coupes as well. Both the engines sport an auto stop/start fuel efficiency feature which can be disabled at choice. Talking about the safety features, the 2019 BMW 4 Series arrives with electronic stability control, All-Wheel ABS coupled with collision mitigation and ample of airbags which includes front, front knee and side. The Driving Dynamics Control feature in the car offers three settings for throttle sensitivity and steering effort. The Driver assistance features which include active cruise control with automated braking and pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring and lane-departure warning. What we get in addition is the BMW Assist which further adds up an automatic crash notification and roadside assistance. The rearview camera and parking sensors in the front and rear are present to park the vehicle with efficiency. This BMW 4 series doesn’t seem particularly compact but much of a grand tourer. The vehicle’s stability at high speeds and cruise comfort are groundbreaking whereas cornering limits are high. When it comes to performance, the acceleration is very powerful despite the engine choice. The 4 series sedan features lower suspensions and wider tracks along with much sharper handling capabilities and also retain its hallmark refined performance. Thereby it makes way for a profound and cherishing ride at all times. The Competitors of 2019 BMW 4 series are 2019 Audi A5/S5, 2019 Infiniti Q60, 2019 Lexus RC, 2019 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
