Compared to petrol version, diesel version has lower power and torque and hence overall pulling power of car is reduced. With availability of most of diesel cars featuring higher power of 75PS and more. Power of 58 PS is too low to compete with cars featuring 1.3L engine. Though it has benefit of higher mileages of 25kmpl as compared to 1.3L engines delivering maximum of 20KMPL. Due to lesser power and torque, it struggles a lot if driver wishes to cruise it at higher speeds. There are no much complaints regarding petrol version except minor problems needing attention such as weak dampers, regular wear and tear of parts and as such.
Chevrolet Beat is the perfect city vehicle with reasonable running and maintenance cost. To fit this hatchback in bill engineers from Chevrolet has reduced some of the components and equipment’s results in some minor problems which can be neglected. The main problem which most of the user has faced is the artificial steering feed as steering feels too light even at high speed and lack of steering feed with road. This problem also become problem when rider decide to take turns at high speed.
