Chevrolet Beat is an economic hatchback that comes with amazing style and good interior design. This car is available in both diesel and petrol variants. It provides the users with an amazing mileage figure in both city streets and highways. It is made mainly for a city dweller, for it can negotiate the narrow streets thanks to its low turning radius. The interior of this car is also well furnished and features several passenger features.
There are plenty of compettion for Beat especially in petrol engine versions. Mainly from Hyndai Grand i10, MarutiSuzuki Celerio, Wagon R, Ritz and others. In diesel version with its unique 1.0L diesel engine with power of 58PS, it makes a distinguishd option for the customers preferering entry level diesel hatchback. Main competition for this is from Tata Indica. With similar power and infact well proven performance and huge market share, Indica offers great competiton for this car.
As mentioned above I do agree about competition from Tata Indica for Beat diesel. In fact Indica has edge over Beat diesel in all aspects starting from power and mileage to interiors comfort, dickey space and long term reliability. In simple words Indica diesel is a full time diesel car and Beat diesel just serves purpose of owning a diesel hatchback for daily commuting and occasional outing. Chevrolet must have come up with a stronger diesel engine for this mode.
When Chevrolet Beat was launched, it grabbed lot of attention from customers and resulted in huge number of bookings. However as the time progressed and lot of new models with latest styling features and technically advanced equipments have come up. Day by day its loosing the charm that it was getting earlier. For example, if you consider to choose between a Beat and Hyundai Grand i10, there is almost 75 percent of chances in choosing Grand i10.
