Why does my Chevrolet Beat blow black smoke on pressing accelerator?
By: Anil Kumar on 11 august 2017
Black smoke coming out of the exhaust is a sign of a rich fuel mixture (too much fuel, not enough air). A brief puff of black smoke may be visible during hard acceleration when the fuel mixture goes momentarily rich, but under normal driving conditions and idling the black smoke doesn’t emit. Other possible reasons of black smoke are – the carburetor needs to be adjusted or the car could have a dirty air filter, stuck choke, bad fuel pump, leaky fuel injector or too much fuel pressure. I advise you to take your car to your local Chevrolet service center or to some skilled mechanic for proper diagnosis and solution.
