Which can be the best family sedan with a better diesel engine option?

However, there are a bunch of sedans available in the Indian car arena that have really been built keeping the needs and demands of family in mind and therefore, these cars come with a number salient characteristics which really keeps then apart from the group. One of the cars with all these features is Chevrolet Cruze, which is only available in a diesel engine option. Right from well-designed interiors, offering better space for five people, much storage limit inside and a huge cargo volume-all these factors turn it a complete family car and best for long runs. The diesel engine not only performs well but also saves a lot on fuel.
If you are opting for a premium diesel sedan then Cruze is the one to go for. With the tremandous power of 166PS delivered from 2.0L engine, you can really cruze at will and wish. It is not just about performance, Cruze has lot to offer. I find interior quality no less than a Mercedce Banz car. Its available in manual transmission and automatic transmission versions. I have driven both, for me manual transmission version is more facinating then too smooth and easy to operate automatic transmission.
When this was lunched, it was a instant hit and offered tough competition for Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata. With Hyundai Sonata struggling to make a impact even with latest versions. Now with Camry exceeding price range of 25Lakh, Nearest competition for this is from Sonata and Renault Fluence. Renault fluence costs much lesser than this one however its total power output is also less. I recommend you to take a test drive of both Cruze and Renault Fluence.
I don’t think Renault Fluence is a competitior for Cruze. Look at the technical part. Cruze has 2.0L engine with 166PS power and 360Nm Torque. Where as Fluence has 1.5L engine with 108PS power and 245Nm Torque. The power of 58PS can make a real difference when it comes to crusing at high speeds. Even when it comes to price structure, both are in almost similar price range. If you want to enjoy the thrill of high speed and luxurious interiors, Cruze is the car for you.
Chevrolet Cruze is way ahead of any other competing cars in this segment. You won't get such a powerful car in this segment. I myself driven this car for more than 15,000kms. It is really a fantastic car to drive. Even when crusing at speed of 185kmph there is no sensation wobling or vibrations anything like that. The engine is soo smooth that many times we have to check the rpm meter ensure engine is running. I strongly recommend this car for you.
I do agree with the views mentioned abovewith respect to performance of the car. However its not that great as it is supposed to be.If you are crusing at high speeds and have to negotiate with sharp turns then you will have to compromise on speed to maintain car full control. You can feel kind of un stable condition while driving over non conventional roads. Loaded with all advanced safety features and good lot of comfort equipments on offer, it is worth the price tag quoted.
