Shibu Chakraborty's review on Datsun redi-GO 1.0 T(O)
Year of Manufacture : 2017 | Driven no. of Kms. : 104
- Pros: This is my first drive report that covered about 35 km journey encompassing city traffic, flyovers, highway as well as some inclined road. The spacious interiors, clear wide view from the driver seat and light clutch coupled with sleek steering wheel manoeuvring makes the ride quality comfortable.
- Cons: The 1.OL engine is a wee bit away from full refinement and it is best to drive the car slightly below 2000 rpm. Few ergonomic issues come up with adjusting power window button, left and right turn indicator buttons not clearly visible while driving in bright sunlight.
Leaving these issues aside, the bright spots include better cabin space, head space and decent features like central locking, child safety lock door and relatively sound suspension. The clutch is really very light and engages early, while the acceleration is extremely responsive to light throttle push. A tight turning radius also is a boon during U turns. The overall experience of driving the RediGo for the first time at length was at the end enjoyable. As I spend more time with it, the handling and manoeuvrability is bound to improve.
