How is the mileage of Fiat Linea?
By: Dheeraj on 13 january 2015
The 1.4L ‘Fire’ petrol mill of the Linea has an ability to generate a decent average of 10kmpl within city traffic and can produce 14.9kmpl on highways, the more powerful T-Jet engine has multipoint fuel injection system equipped in it and gives slightly higher mileage of 12 and 15.8kmpl in city and on highways respectively. While the 1248cc diesel powered engine equipped with common rail direct injection system runs 14kmpl in the city and an impressive 20kmpl on the freeways!
The Italian car major Fiat has launched the new Linea Lineup in 2014. The new linea comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1.4 Litre petrol engine has been rated by ARAI to give a fuel efficiency of 15.7 Kmpl and the 1.3 Ltr. diesel engine is slated to give an output of 20.4 Kmpl. However, in the real world conditions, one can expect the petrol version to give around 10-11 Kmpl in city and 14-15 Kmpl on highways whereas the diesel version can be expected to churn out 13-14 Kmpl in city and 18-19 Kmpl on highways.
The mileage of a car is very important before buying it. Especially in India with the rough roads, the car mileage matters a lot. Fiat Linea Classic 1.4 Petrol which I own in red colour has a mileage of 14.9 Kilo meter per liter on highways and 11. 4 kilo meter per liter on city roads of India. Though it is not that great, it is reasonable for that price of the car.
I agree with the above reply about the mileage of Fiat Linea is good according to its price. I own a Fiat Linea Active Petrol. The petrol capacity is of 1.4 liter Turbo jet. It compromises of 4 cylinders and 16 valves. This makes the engine last long. The mileage of the car is 11.2 Kilo meter per liter on city roads and 14.9 Kilo meter per liter on highways which are smooth.
Truly, I agree with the above feedback of Fiat Avventura. I own a Fiat Linea T Jet Active Petrol version. It has mileage of 15.7 Kilo meter per liter on smooth highways and 11.3 Kilo meter per liter on rough city roads. The car has a five speed gear box having a smooth transmission. The car is safe and secure with anti braking system. I absolutely love this car too much!
I am a proud owner of Fiat Linea T Jet Dynamic Petrol in red colour. The car has very smooth suspension with stabilizer bar and an independent wheel. It also has helical coil springs and dampers which are telescopic. The rear suspension has torsion beam and also helical coil springs. The mileage as per Automotive Research Association in India is 15.7 Kilo meter per liter which is great for a sedan in India.
I completely agree with the above reviews about the mileage of Fiat Linea and its various variants. A Fiat Linea Emotion Multi jet Diesel is owned by me and the mileage it offers is pretty great! As per my experience, on city roads, it offers 17.2 Kilo meter per liter and on smooth highways it offers 20.4 Kilo meter per liter. The ARAI certified mileage is also 20.4 Kilo meter per liter.
The Fiat Linea sedan is among the most fuel efficient vehicles on the Indian market belting out 11.4kmpl mileage in city road conditions and 14.9kmpl mileage in the highway driving conditions. This is a relatively better and improved return per liter in comparison to other sedans in the same segment and power range of 1368cc (1.4 liter) engine displacement capacity. The Linea sedan also incorporates good and latest fuel injection technology that is newest in its class.G
The car has different variants. The mileage varies with the variants. The 1.4 Liter FIRE petrol mill has a mileage of 10 km per liter in the city and about 14 km per liter in highways. The more powerful T-jet engine has multipoint fuel injection system and it gives slightly higher mileage of 12 km per liter in city and 15.8 km per liter on highways. The common rail direct injection system runs 14 km per liter in the city and 20 km per liter on highways. So on an average, Fiat Linea has a mre or less good mileage.
