Why does the engine of my Fiat Linea stop when I apply brake and simultaneously press the clutch?

Engine does not stops when the brake is applied, it keeps on running even when the brake is applied, but if you do not press clutch pedal at the right time, only then engine will get vibrate and stop. So, to keep the engine running while braking, you need to shift to neutral or press the clutch pedal before approaching a complete stop, and this practice will also avoid any harm to the clutch plate and engine
