How is Fiat Urban Cross 1.3T compared to Maruti Suzuki S-Cross?

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is a full-size crossover while Fiat Urban Cross is a sub 4-meter crossover. So, if you are looking for better space, the former would be a better choice as it is lengthier, wider and taller than the latter. S-Cross has an advantage in terms of boot-space with a fantastic 353 litres of room, compared to Urban Cross’s 280 litres.

Both S-Cross and Urban Cross are powered by 1.3 liter diesel engine but the latter produces slightly higher power & torque output. If mileage is an important criteria for you then also S-Cross would be a better choice as its ARAI certified mileage (24 kmpl) is better than of Urban Cross (20 kmpl).

Being a slightly more premium offering than the Urban Cross, the S-Cross offers more in terms of features like 2 airbags, speed sensing door lock, projector headlamps, headlight height adjuster etc. But the S-Cross is considerably more expensive than the Urban Cross and for a lot of car buyers that will be reason enough to give preference to the Urban Cross.

Talking about after sales service, Maruti has a big lead over Fiat in terms of Service Support in our country. However, for urban dwellers Fiat also has more than sufficient reach.

Finally, it depends on your interest. If you think of mileage, space and extra space, then S-Cross is the way to go. For those who are looking for a value for money car, then the Urban Cross is an easy task to consider and also fits the bill perfectly. While both the cars are on par with each other in terms of performance.
