What factors do we need to consider for choosing between the ecoboost 1.0 or petrol 1.5 apart from cost ?

We consider that you wish to purchase Titanium MT model of the cars but are confused between engines. In terms of features, there are no differences between the cars. However, if you consider the engines, the 1.0 litre EcoBoost is a technological marvel and offers better mileage, torque and power figures. If you are willing to pay higher marginal price, go for the 1.0-litre EcoBoost, the difference is very palpable while driving.
The Ford has developed an innovative engine design for their Ecosport car i.e. the 1.0 Ltr. eco-boost engine. This engine has won the international engine of the year award in 2012. The speciality of this engine is that it gives a phenomenal power and torque i.e. 123 bhp @ 6000 RPM and 170 Nm @ 1400 RPM respectively. The larger capacity 1.5 ltr. petrol engine has been borrowed from Fiesta sedan and it despite being bigger generates only 109 bhp @ 6300 RPM and 140 Nm @ 4400 RPM. Clearly, the 1.0 Ltr. eco-boost engine is much more powerful than the 1.5 Ltr. mill. It is also more fuel efficient than the 1.5 Ltr. engine. However, the 1.0 Ltr. options are costlier than the 1.5 Ltr. models.
